Dérailleur arrière
Lightweight
ex Carbone Crew : 118g
tout carbone - ultralight
After selling many bike parts, I was finally able to purchase a carbon crew rear
derailleur from BTP, Bernhard Langerbein. It took a few weeks to receive it,
but it was worth it. Bernhard sells a great product that works and looks good.
The derailleur was for Campy 10, and it works flawlessly.
Shifting
is crisp and perfect, and works as good as, if not better, than my current record
derailleur. Weight is 125 grams, using combination of steel and aluminium bolts.
There are aluminum nuts that are surrounded by the carbon where there
are screws, so that the screws will not strip the carbon. It took me about 10
minutes total to install and adjust the derailleur.
The first thing I
did was to install the derailleur in the derailleur hangar. Then I adjusted
the limit screws to make sure the outer and inner derailleur matches the inner
and outer rear cassette cogs. Then I installed the chain, and tightened the
cable adjuster.
The derailleur works flawlessly for campy 10 speed systems..... Bernhard Langerbein
now sells them, and they are fabulous. works just as good or even better than
campy record. |
I've only put about 12 miles on the derailleur.....no problems at all. spring
tension is very good, just like campy. I even think it shifts better than my record
rear.
Question Anyway,
aren't you worried about dropping the bike, or having some sort of catastrophic
accident where the derailleur gets sucked into the wheel? That would suck.
to
brian:
yes, if I do drop the bike, that could cause some problems, but i try to be careful.
but being a ww, I wanted to buy one.....
I had to sell a lot of my bike
stuff, but was finally able to get enough cash.... it is worth every penny
in my opinion even though it is extremely expensive. Bernhard at btp was very
helpful in answering my concerns about the derailleur, as to whether it would
shift well. He even offered that I could return it if it didn't work to my
expectations. He sold me on the derailleur because of his good customer service.
Question
Sweet - is it for mtb or road use? if mtb
- then shimano or sram and if road - then shimano or campagnolo?
